ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Fracture Type of Boston, Massachusetts, is the culmination of aggressive riffs, emotive vocals, suspenseful bridges, humming melodies, and cathartic breakdowns woven into their own unique outfit of post-hardcore. The band’s messaging speaks on mindfulness, connectedness, and the collective struggles to understand, embrace, and overcome inevitable human suffering from both uplifting and punishing angles.

INTERVIEW:

1. “What moment made you realize you wanted to take music seriously?”

I was in seventh grade and had been taking guitar lessons for a long while. I didn't realize what toolset I was building at the time and just thought I was doing what kids do. But something clicked in my brain at that age and I realized I could WRITE music! I've been taking it seriously ever since.

3. “What’s a song you’ve made that means the most to you—and why?”

Shooting Starfish is a song about my mom and how I've grown to realize how similar we are over the years, and how we deal with the same struggles in our lives.

4. “What emotion or mindset do you want people to feel when they hear your music?”

catharsis is the ultimate feeling, whether it is of angst or of hopefulness.

5. “What separates you from every other artist in your lane right now?”

There aren't any bands in our lane that we have found. Do you know any? We'd love to hear them.

trove - It is our latest release and covers a lot of ground. Lyrical themes of lack of connectedness in the modern age, the drawbacks of the internet age, etc.
